We tell ourselves stories to make sense of experiences and make meaning of our lives.
As Rebecca Solnit puts it in The Faraway Nearby: “Stories are compasses and architecture; we navigate by them, we build our sanctuaries and our prisons out of them, and to be without a story is to be lost in the vastness of the world that spreads in all directions like arctic tundra or sea ice.”
Sometimes we need new stories. Ones that reflect our own strengths, values, growth and joy. And sometimes, we need a little help to uncover and speak them aloud.
This can be a contextual, relational, and transformative practice. Learn more about my practice here.
